26th Annual Advanced Vitreoretinal Techniques and Technology Symposium

August 22-24, 2025
Chicago, IL

This two-and-a-half-day symposium provides ophthalmologists with an update on the diagnosis and management of vitreoretinal diseases and surgical conditions. The symposium contains lectures, video presentations, discussions of cases, and an examination of controversial issues in both a debate setting and in panels.

A special opening day program features a half-day hands-on, interactive wet lab and a half-day instructional session for Surgical Vitreoretinal Fellows, Medical Retina Fellows and Residents. Much of the instructional session will focus on the best practices of vitreoretinal medicine. Day one topics include risk management, clinical documentation and coding, participation in clinical trials, patient and physician satisfaction, ethics, advocacy, and prevention of physician burnout.

Days two and three of this symposium provide Vitreoretinal Fellows, Residents, General Ophthalmologists and Practicing Retina Specialists with an update on the diagnosis and management of vitreoretinal diseases. Emphasis will be placed on conditions that have experienced recent developments.
